         The firework display starts after Big Ben chimes at midnight.

         There are 12,000 fireworks (8 tonnes). It is the biggest New Year firework display in Europe.



     3. How long does it take to set up the fireworks?
        
        There are 306 people who set up the fireworks. They start on 27th December, so it takes four days.  
        

     4. How much do the fireworks cost?
        
        They cost about three million pounds. 

     5. Where can you see the fireworks for free?

        You can see them from the centre of London, from the hills in London and also Tower Bridge, Millennium Bridge and Southwark Bridge.
        


     6. If you buy a ticket to watch the fireworks from the best place, how much does it cost?

        It costs ten pounds to buy a ticket. 90,000 tickets were sold at the beginning of September and 10,000 tickets were sold on 30th November. The money is used to buy fireworks. There are four different areas where you can watch: Victoria Embankment, South Bank, Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge.
       

     7. What time do you have to arrive to see the fireworks?

        If you have a ticket, you have to go to your area between 8 o´clock and 10 o´clock.
