11th February - International Day of Women and Girls in Science

This is Jane Goodall. She is a very important scientist. She worked with chimpanzees in Africa. When she was a child, she loved animals and dreamed of living with wild animals in Africa. Many people told her this was an impossible dream, but she did it.

Did you know... 1st February is World Greyhound Day?

Now it is the end of the hunting season and many hunters abandon or kill their greyhounds. Luckily, there are people who rescue these lovely, calm and friendly dogs so that they can have a better life in a loving home. Here are photos of some of the greyhounds from Adopta Galgos in Zaragoza. Some of them are already with families and others are waiting to be adopted.
